By road

From Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain

Al Khatim sits on the highway between Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, about 80 km east of the capital and 70 km west of Al Ain, and the UAE motorway network brings you to the Village from either direction, and from Dubai. Licensed taxis, Uber and Careem run to Butheeb, and vehicle rental is available at both airports and in every city.

On ride day the championship starts at 05:45, so spectators who want to see the mass start travel in the dark. Allow for the drive from the city and for parking on arrival; the Village opens its car parks before the start.

From Abu Dhabi, take the Abu Dhabi–Al Ain road to Exit 78 near Al Khatim. From Dubai, take the exit for the Al Ain road and follow the signs. The Village is at 24.277922 N, 54.958997 E; the signposted approach to the car parks is on the site plan.
