Abu Dhabi to host the FEI Endurance World Championship 2026
The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation announces the award, with the support of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation has announced that Abu Dhabi will host the FEI Endurance World Championship 2026 at Butheeb International Endurance Village, Al Khatim, following the decision of the FEI Board.
The Federation recognised the unlimited support extended to the hosting bid by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, whose patronage of equestrian sport it credits with the growth of endurance riding in the UAE.

The Federation's President extended his congratulations to the wise leadership on securing the confidence of the FEI. The announcement was made in the presence of the Federation's Secretary-General, Dr. Ghanem Mohammed Al Hajri; Board Member and President of FEI Regional Group VII, Sultan Mohammed Al Yahyai; and Board Member and Chairman of the Endurance Committee, Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Sheikh.
Butheeb International Endurance Village hosted the FEI Endurance World Championship 2022, ridden on 25 February 2023, and has staged FEI and national endurance events since 2004. The 2026 championship is the fourth time the world title is decided in the United Arab Emirates, after 1998, 2004 and 2022.
